The smallest things can surprise and delight,
and fill us with wonder and joy. This exhibition asks CAVA artists to channeled their creative vision to counterbalance these challenging times, and address the question, “What does happiness mean to you today, in the here and now?“ We invite you to create work specifically for this exhibit with happiness in mind!

NOTE: Artists are responsible for on-time delivery and pick-up of their art. Any artwork left beyond the pick-up date is subject to a $10 daily storage fee.

Accepted Media: Drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, collage, photography, ceramics, fiber art, and 3D objects/sculpture.

Entry Instructions:

ELIGIBILITY: 
This exhibit is open to artists 50 and over. You must also be a member of CAVA. 


ENTRY FEES: 
CAVA members may submit up to two works. Entry fee is $30.
Entry fees are not refundable, and acceptance into the show is not guaranteed. 

Non-members may enter for $30, but must also pay CAVA's annual membership fee of $50.

REQUIRED ARTIST STATEMENT:  Artists should submit through the Entrythingy online application a statement of up to 400 characters for each piece of work submitted, describing how the pieces fit the theme of The Happiness Show. When adding work in Entrythingy, use the DESCRIPTION field under the TITLE field to enter each statement. Statements will be displayed in the exhibition, accompanying the gallery tag. 

MEDIA REQUIREMENTS: 
1. All work must meet professional presentation standards—art dropped off without wire, or that uses sawtooth hangers will be not be displayed. 

2. 2-D work must be framed or gallery wrapped, wired, and ready for wall mounting. No alligator or sawtooth  hangers will be permitted.

3. 2-D work must not exceed 40 inches in either direction, INCLUDING THE FRAME. 

4. 3-D work must be wired and ready for wall mounting or fit on sturdy, properly weighted pedestals. Epiphany has some pedestals available, but artists may also provide their own pedestals that fit the work.

5. Work may not have been shown in any previous CAVA art shows.
