EXHIBITION ELIGIBILITY: This exhibit is open to CURRENT CAVA artist members, aged 50 and over.

CAVA members may submit one work, no fee required

Non-members may enter, but must pay CAVA's annual membership fee of $50. All fees are payable at www.WeAreCava.org via our JOIN page.

ARTWORK SALES AND COMMISSIONS:
North Shore Art League will manage and complete any sale of work sold. They will receive a 25% commission from all sales and collect tax from the buyer, and send it to the state. Artists will receive their share of proceeds from a sale from NSAL after the exhibit is over. 
During the reception or other events when the NSAL office is closed, CAVA may process sales. CAVA will collect sales tax and submit to the state, pay the commission of 25% to the NSAL, and include a 4% processing fee for a total of 29%. Please price your work accordingly.

LIABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSubmission of work for this exhibit will be construed as acceptance of all conditions set forth in the Call for Entry. CAVA reserves the right not to display work that does not meet exhibition standards or the terms of this CFE. Reasonable precautions will be taken to safeguard artists' work from damage; however, neither CAVA nor the North Shore Art League, Winnetka Community House, nor its supporters, volunteers, subcontractors, nor any of the participating agencies or businesses will be responsible for the loss or damage of artwork for any reason. CAVA requires all exhibitors to sign a release form; forms will be sent via email to accepted artists and available at the drop-off location.

MEDIA REQUIREMENTS:

1. All work must meet professional presentation standards.

2. Artists need to be aware of public sensitivity to some subject matter in artwork. No frontal nudity or explicit depiction of violence is allowed.

3.  2-D work must be framed or gallery wrapped, wired, and ready for wall mounting.
   No sawtooth/alligator style hangers are permitted.

4. 2-D artwork must not exceed 44 inches each way, INCLUDING the frame, in the longest dimension, nor weigh more than 25 pounds. For artwork over 20 inches x 24 inches, please use plexiglass when framing,
   so the hanging system can safely accommodate the weight.

5. 3-D must be wired and ready for wall mounting; meet the dimension requirement not to exceed 44 inches in the longest dimension; or weigh more than 25 pounds. North Shore Art League cannot accommodate or display freestanding sculpture.

6. Work may not have been shown in any previous CAVA art shows.

HOW TO ENTER:

1. Use CAVA's EntryThingy online application below. Access the application using a LAPTOP or TABLET computer, not a phone. The Entrythingy application does not function on either iPhone or Android platforms.

2. Digital images should be a minimum of 1500 pixels wide in the longer dimension in jpg format.

3. List the file name for your work on the entry form.

4. Online submission deadline: Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 11:59 p.m.

5. NON-MEMBERS: Use the PayPal online payment system via CAVA's website JOIN page       (wearecava.org/join-cava) to pay the $50 membership;

SALON SHOW & TELL:  Thursday, August 29, 6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.
CAVA's ANNUAL SYMPOSIUM:  Sunday, September 22, from 1:00–5:00 p.m. 
FINAL DAY OF EXHIBITION:  Sunday, September 22, 2024

ARTWORK PICK UP:   Sunday, September 22. There are TWO pick up time windows before and after the Symposium: 12:00–1:00 p.m. and 5:00–6:00 p.m.

Artists are responsible for on-time delivery and pick up. 
All work left beyond the pick up date is subject to a $10 daily storage fee.
