The Chicago Alliance of Visual Artists (CAVA) is pleased to present Small Wonders, an exhibit of works no larger than 14 inches in any dimension. Prepare to be enchanted with the beauty that CAVA artists  can create in small, intimate spaces with unusual methods and materials, including drawing, painting, prints, mixed media, collage, photography, video, fiber art, sculpture, and ceramics. 

AWARDS:
Best of Show $200 |  Special Award $100 |  3 Honorable Mentions
 

CATEGORIES: Drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, collage, photography, video, fiber art, and 3D objects sculpture, and ceramics.

ELIGIBILITY: This exhibit is open to CAVA MEMBERS, who are all artists age 50 and older.
Artists who are over 50 who are not yet members may enter once they join CAVA.
 

ENTRY FEES:
CAVA members may submit up to two works for the $25 entry fee.

Non-members may enter for $25, but must also pay CAVA's annual membership fee of $50.

CALENDAR OF EVENTS
DEADLINE TO SUBMIT: February 6, 2022, 11:59 p.m.
NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTED ARTWORK: February 12, 2022, 11:59 p.m.
ARTWORK DROP OFF: March 2, 2022, 1:00–3:00 p.m.
EXHIBITION OPENS: March 7, 2022
ARTISTS RECEPTION: March 11, 2022, 2:30–4:30 p.m.
ARTWORK PICK UP: April 29, 2022, 1:00–3:00 p.m.

The North Shore Senior Center (NSSC) handles the sale of artwork, accepting checks written out to the artist, who will then return 20% back to the NSSC at the end of the show. Artists are responsible for on time delivery and pick up. All work left beyond the pick up date is subject to a $10 daily storage fee.
