The Chicago Alliance for Visual Artists (CAVA) presents Members Show 2022 at the Berger Park/Gunder Mansion, 6219 North Sheridan Road, Chicago, IL 60660. Gunder Mansion is a Chicago historical landmark, built on the lakefront in 1910, and is part of the Berger Park Cultural Center of the Chicago Park District.
CAVA will host a concurrent intergenerational arts event for the community at Berger Park on
Sunday, October 2, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. The theme for the Intergenerational Art Event is 'What is Society?'
CAVA's member artists will guide participants in an immersive creative exploration using collage of views, perceptions, and shared understandings around the meaning of society, and challenges facing those shared understandings in the 21st century. Media Accepted: Drawing, painting, printmaking, mixed media, collage, photography, fiber art, and 3D objects, sculpture, and ceramics, that can be wall hung. Artists may provide their own pedestals for free standing (not wall-mounted) 3D work, or use space available.

Members' Show VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
Volunteers are needed for:

>> Exhibition installation
>> Gallery Monitors (Saturdays)

We're also looking for Artist Teachers/ Facilitators to assist with the Sunday, October 2, Intergenerational Art Event. This Intergenerational Art Event will take place at Berger Park/Gunder Mansion, 6219 N. Sheridan Road, Chicago, IL 60660. EXHIBITION ELIGIBILITY: This exhibit is open to CURRENT CAVA artist members, aged 50 and over.

ENTRY FEES:
CAVA members may submit one work, no fee required

Non-members may enter, but must pay CAVA's annual membership fee of $50. All fees are payable at www.WeAreCava.org via our JOIN page.

ARTWORK SALES AND COMMISSIONS—NEW INFORMATION:
***Good News: CAVA will be handling any sales during the Members’ Show 2022. The Illinois Sales tax will be charged to the purchaser, and collected by CAVA and submitted to the State of Illinois. CAVA will subtract a processing fee of 4% from artists' purchase price to cover this new service we are offering to our members.
At the discretion of CAVA, purchased artwork may be removed and released to the buyer prior to the end of the exhibit.
It will be replaced with a SOLD sign with the artist’s name and website, if applicable.

MEDIA REQUIREMENTS:

All work must meet professional presentation standards.
2-D work must be framed or gallery wrapped, wired, and ready for wall mounting. No sawtooth/alligator style hangers are permitted.
2-D must not exceed 40 inches each way, INCLUDING the frame. For artwork over 20 inches x 24 inches, please use plexiglass when framing, so that the hanging system can safely accommodate the weight.
3-D must be wired and ready for wall mounting. Artists with sculpture that cannot be hung must provide a pedestal for the exhibit.
Work may not have been shown in any previous CAVA art shows.

HOW TO ENTER:

Use CAVA's EntryThingy online application below.
Digital images should be a minimum of 1500 pixels wide in the longer dimension in jpg format.
List the file name for your work on the entry form.
Online submission deadline: Sunday, August 21, 2022 at 11:59 p.m.
NON-MEMBERS: Use the PayPal online payment system via CAVA's website wearecava.org, to pay the $50 membership; OR, mail a check payable to CAVA to:
